Privacy

This is a personal portfolio site. It has no analytics, no trackers, no profiling cookies, and it shares nothing with advertisers. What follows is everything that happens to data here, service by service.

Who handles the data

The controller is Benoit Gaudieri, Naples, Italy. For any request about your data, use the contact form or the email address shown in the contact section.

The contact form

When you write through the form I collect your name, your email and the text of your message, and I use them only to reply to you. Delivery goes through Resend, which puts the email in my inbox. The message then lives in my mail for as long as the conversation needs. It joins no mailing list and goes to nobody else.

The AI assistant

When you type into the "Ask my CV" assistant, the text of your question is sent to DeepSeek, the provider of the model that writes the answer, which is based in China: the data therefore leaves the European Union. This site stores no conversations. They live in your browser until you reload the page. Please do not type personal or confidential information into it: it does not need any, it only answers about experience, skills and projects.

Technical logs

The site is hosted on Vercel and served through Cloudflare. Both record technical information about every request, including the IP address, for security and diagnostics. To keep the demos from being farmed, the site itself holds an IP address in memory for at most 15 minutes in order to count requests. It is never written to disk and is used for nothing else.

Cookies

One cookie, a technical one: it remembers which language you are reading. Your browser also keeps two small notes locally: that you dismissed the privacy note, so it does not come back at every visit, and how many questions you have asked the assistant, so its limit survives a reload. No analytics cookies, no profiling, no third parties. That note asks for no consent, because there is nothing here to consent to.

Your rights

You can ask me what data I hold, have it corrected, get a copy or have it deleted, and you can object to it being processed. Just write to me. If you think something is wrong, you can also complain to your data protection authority, which in Italy is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
